Whimsical is shape, but completely functional, the Mussel pot was designed for shellfish. Includes a strainer to separate juices from the shellfish, and the lid an be used to hold empty shells. For centuries, cooks have taken advantage of the natural heat retention and redistribution properties of cast iron. Staub builds on this tradition with our enameled cast iron cookware. Black matte enamel inside and cooking surface creates a culinary advantage for better browning, braising, and roasting. Colorful enamel outside adds flare to your kitchen and table. Safe for use on all types of heat sources, including gas, electric, and induction, and oven safe up to 500F. Chip resistant and dishwasher safe. Made in France.

I recently bought the Staub Mussel Pot, and it has quickly become a kitchen favorite. The enameled cast iron construction ensures even heat distribution, perfect for cooking mussels or other seafood, and it retains heat well to keep your dish warm. The design is stunning, with a deep blue color that looks elegant on the table, and the pot is a great size for serving 2 people, maybe up to 4 if you’re serving a couple mussels per person. It’s heavy but easy to handle, and cleaning is a breeze thanks to the enameled interior. While it’s marketed for mussels, I’ve also used it for soups, stews, and braising meats, and it performs beautifully across the board. Overall, it’s a versatile, durable, and stylish piece of cookware that’s worth the investment.
