Solid heavy duty and heavy pot. This is a high quality commercial quality stock pot. Hope you have room…. It’s big! Great heat distribution across the bottom, no hot spots…..no burning. Easy to clean. It’s performance was similar to my other US and French made stainless products. Didn’t pay attention to the country of origin of this product but I usually stay away from China. I just needed a big pot at a specific price point ant this did it. So far so good! This is a very thick stainless steel stock pot. The bottom is 1/2" thick. The lid is also very heavy-duty. This stock pot will last generations. This is a great stock pot. It is super large and the quality is awesome. Found it at Costco at a discontinued price of 38 dollars. How can you go wrong? When I saw "limited time offer" I had to leap. Every other tri-ply stainless pot this size was $90 and up.I was frustrated by the lack of pictures providing scale, so here's a typical size cat doing so.For the price I expected a pot reminiscent of a soda can (flimsy). Not so at all. It's THICK, heavy, and indestructible. With its 10mm thick tri-ply bottom, this pot would satisfy Gordon Ramsey. The one detail that falls short of commercial cookware is the teensy spot welds securing the handles. We'll see how those hold up. I'd need to see these handles load tested before trusting them to lift the pot even at half full. Empty lifting only.I got the pot for processing chickens. It's actually overkill for a single chicken. A tall 30-gallon would do. This one will scald a small turkey. The nice thing is the water volume will provide so much thermal buffer, the water won't cool down much, so one dip will do.I'm ecstatic with this purchase and would do it again in a New York heartbeat!
