The tree is usually 6 inches shorter after being shaped. You can also add a filler under the plant in a decorative pot as a pedestal base that will add to the overall height.

I love the palm trees! I have a tropical theme in my bedroom and the trees look beautiful. The only drawback was that the trees are not 6' tall. I guess if you position the leaves correctly, you can have them at 6', but I'm not sure how great that would look. To make the trees look taller, I placed each one in a pot and added height with artificial stuffing. They are now over 6' tall and look beautiful.I would definitely recommend this product.
