I am so happy with this pot. I bought my first 8 qt 5 yrs ago and bought other cheaper pots after that which were horrible and eventually bit the bullet and invested in my second 8 qt. I cook chicken plau, all sorts of curries, boil pasta in it with no issues. the whole pot cooks very evenly, no hot/burnt spots ever, and even my instapot pot has some spots that burn over others. I've fried onions in here and once accidentally walked away and forgot all about the onions, which turned black but didn't affect the performance of the pan!! Like wow! The handles do stay cool, i will absolutely attest to that and its dishwasher safe, pot and lid bottom rack, no affect on performance. if you do choose to handwash, just soak it for a few ours or overnight and you can literally clean it off with a normal kitchen sponge with the rough green backing. I've never had to use my steel wool scrubber on it except to make the exterior shine a bit. Not a single con, except maybe the high cost, but the quality is absolutely there. I also own the 3 qt saucepan to cook tea on the stove in and warm up pasta sauce. same performance. Also this 8 qt is not that heavy even though it has so many layers on the bottom, and i have wrist problems so trust me, do it, get the pot! This pot is heavy, heats evenly, and easy to clean.Great pan!!easy to use and easy to clean, it is an excellent american made pot. We love it. Plan to buy more different kinds.American Kitchen's stainless steel cookware are meticulously crafted! Thank you!
