I bought the 1 Liter size. I use it to make my morning grits. 3/4 through I add an egg, cheese and butter and finish the cooking. If I need to hold it a bit, I make sure the vents are closed and leave it sitting. It's small enough that I can stir my meal and eat out of the bowl. The outer and inner surfaces clean up easily and quickly.I've also heated up cooked rice. With the vent hole closed it builds up a little steam of its own and my warmed rice is moist (not soggy) and ready to serve.
